Our Child Care Services Program can help you through the entire process of opening a child care center in Randolph County. Services provided and areas of assistance include:

  • Needs assessment to determine if a child care center is needed in the area you are considering;
  • Business planning;
  • Overview and technical assistance on licensing requirements and professional standards for child care centers;
  • Costs of center start-up and operations;
  • Design of the facility and review of building plans, including appropriate use of indoor and outdoor spaces;
  • Suitable equipment and materials;
  • Staff recruitment, training, and compensation;
  • Policy and procedures for staff and families;
  • Health and safety issues, including accident and illness prevention and emergency procedures;
  • Curriculum and schedule of activities that meet the needs of the children; 
  • Connections with community services and organizations;
  • Ongoing technical assistance once your center is open.
