Join Chef John LaTour and Registered Dietician Pam McIntyre from Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Culinary Technology Dept. facilitate the Healthy Futures through Classroom Cooking program as a means to address and prevent the onset of early childhood obesity. These workshops within the Healthy Futures program feature hands-on activities designed to engage Early Childhood professionals as they learn more about children’s nutrition and healthy eating habits.

Through our Shape NC initiative, we are offering this professional development 1.0 CEU training series (5 sessions).

Session I: Food Insecurity & Understanding Labels and the 4 Diet Killers
Facilitated by Chef John LaTour, The Epidemic covers the impact of childhood nutrition issues including food insecurity and the four biggest diet killers: portions, sugar, salt and fat.
