Great Beginnings. Strong Futures.

Randolph County Community Assessment

In 2021, the Randolph County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve an application from the Randolph Partnership for Children (RPC) in collaboration with the Children’s Home Society for $50,000 to conduct a Randolph County early childhood landscape study.  The study began in January 2022 and was intended to identify the community’s assets, gaps in service, the “ratio” of prevention services to intervention services, families’ ability to find and follow through with services, and community dynamics that directly influence things like buy-in, stigma, funding, and potential for future innovation.  RPC contracted with the Children’s Home Society’s Institute for Family to conduct the study.

The study was conducted between January and July of 2022. The Institute’s Community and Systems Impact Director Donna Wood presented the findings to the County Commissioners on Dec. 7, 2022. The findings included data analysis, an asset and opportunity scan, a media analysis, and over 100 resident interviews. The findings were presented to the public on Dec. 7, 2022, at a breakfast hosted by RCP and The Institute for Family.  See below for links to the findings.
