Great Beginnings. Strong Futures.

First 2000 Days

First 2000 Days logoThe First 2000 Days initiative was rolled out by the NC Early Childhood Foundation as an awareness campaign to demonstrate the lasting impact on later learning, health, and success of nurturing, interactions, and development in the first five years of life.

The campaign was built on brain research that tells us what happens – relationships, experiences, environments – from birth until a child begins kindergarten sets the foundation for the rest of life.
