During this session, we will focus on promoting positive teacher child relationships. Participants will have the chance to reflect on their current practices, how much time they ‘correct and redirect’ versus ‘connect’, and develop goals to ensure a positive social and emotional environment for all children. We will explore what science tells us about the developing brain and how positive and nurturing relationships help build healthy brain architecture. Videos and activities will allow participants to observe and discuss supportive practices in building these relationships.
