The Reggio Emilia philosophy is an approach to teaching, learning and advocacy for children. It is a way of observing what children know, are curious about and what challenges them in a supportive environment based on the interests of the children. In this session we will provide some historical background to this approach to learning and discuss the basic principles starting with the role and Image of the Teacher.
All people construct a sense of self, a combination of social and individual identities. This journey involves a continually evolving understanding of oneself. During this session teachers will have multiple opportunities to define and explore their own image through personal and professional identities.
