The Gift of Reading
Every child deserves the chance to fall in love with stories.
When children have access to books at home, they’re more likely to develop strong language and literacy skills, perform better in school, and grow into confident learners. But for many families, building a home library isn’t easy.
That’s where The Gift of Reading comes in.
The Gift of Reading is our special holiday book giveaway initiative, where we bring the magic of stories straight to the community during local Christmas parades. Instead of candy, we hand out brand-new children’s books, putting the joy of reading directly into the hands of families across Randolph County.
Because when a child receives a book, they’re not just getting a gift—they’re being given a chance to dream, imagine, and grow.
This annual tradition helps us promote early literacy in a fun, festive, and meaningful way. But we can’t do it without your help!
