Great Beginnings. Strong Futures.

We are thrilled to introduce Beverly Mooney as the new Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at the Randolph County Partnership for Children (RPC). Beverly, who is also the owner of Millstone Creek Orchards, brings a unique blend of agricultural knowledge and community engagement to our board.

Family Roots
Family is the cornerstone of Beverly’s life. Married for 23 years, a mother of two, and grandmother to two amazing grandchildren, she understands the value of family life, which resonates with our mission here at RPC.

Millstone Creek Orchards: A Testament to Community and Education
Beverly’s family-owned and operated orchard, Millstone Creek Orchards, has been a gem in Ramseur, NC since 2004. This orchard isn’t just about growing fruits; it’s about cultivating an educational experience, especially for children. Millstone Creek Orchards opens its doors for educational visits, instilling the importance of agriculture in young minds.

Making an Impact at RPC
Beverly’s dedication to the community goes beyond the orchards. She has been an essential contributor to our Farm to Early Childhood Education (ECE) collaborative. Whether it’s sharing surplus apples and peaches or facilitating local food acquisitions for healthy meals at our early childhood centers, Beverly exemplifies community-driven action.

Why RPC?
When asked about joining the RPC Board of Directors, Beverly shared that she agreed, “immediately upon being asked. This is a great organization whose focus is dear to my heart.” She has collaborated with RPC for the past three years and was already well-versed in our initiatives and goals before joining the board. Her favorite thing about RPC? The emphasis on early childhood intervention. “It’s crucial to give each child the opportunity to flourish,” she adds.
