Provides support and services for families and their children, birth to 3 years old, who have special needs so that each child can reach his/her maximum potential and be successful in their homes or community (natural learning environments) by using every-day learning opportunities. Utilizes multidisciplinary evaluations and assessments to identify family/guardian concerns as well as the child’s strengths and needs. Emphasizes parent participation and focuses on providing caregivers with the tools they need to help their child accomplish parent-identified goals by utilizing coaching strategies and assists the child and family to access services from other specialists and programs, as needed.
