Directors’ Institute

The Directors’ Institute provides a forum for Randolph County child care directors to come together and discuss topics that impact their centers and their roles as directors. It is a support network for sharing ideas and building relationships in order to form a more cohesive early childhood community in Randolph County.

A wide range of topics is offered related to center management and promoting current, evidence-based practices in child development. Examples include staff recruitment and retention, child assessment, teacher evaluation, curriculum planning, creating and/or enhancing outdoor learning environments, updates on childcare policy, trauma-sensitive programming, and more.

For the 2019-20 school year, the Directors’ Institute will meet once in each of the following months: September, November, January, March, and May. Meetings are scheduled from 12-2 p.m. Dates, locations, and topics are announced on the training calendar.

Our early educators are a close-knit, supportive community. Through our Directors’ Institute and other events for directors, we become unified in our beliefs and goals as we work together to continue to advance high-quality child care programs.
