Join Chef John LaTour and Registered Dietician Pam McIntyre from Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Culinary Technology Dept. facilitate the Healthy Futures through Classroom Cooking program as a means to address and prevent the onset of early childhood obesity. These workshops within the Healthy Futures program feature hands-on activities designed to engage Early Childhood professionals as they learn more about children’s nutrition and healthy eating habits.

Through our Shape NC initiative, we are offering this professional development 1.0 CEU training series (5 sessions).

Session II: Hands on Cooking
Facilitated by Chef John LaTour. Participants will work hands on to create healthy and easy to prepare food items that can be served in a child care center environment.  Additional topics include safety and sanitation and proper knife skills.
