North Carolina’s Foundations for Early Learning and Development (NCFELD) is the state’s framework for what children birth through five should know, understand, and be able to do. This two-session introduction gives early childhood educators in Randolph County the knowledge and practical tools to understand how NCFELD is structured, what it expects, and how to embed those expectations into everyday classroom planning and practice.
Session 1 (November 12) provides the foundational overview of NCFELD and begins building the knowledge base participants will need to support children’s learning and development.
Session 2 (November 19) [INTERNAL — link directly to Event 7 in Sugar Calendar] deepens the practice and application work. Attendance at both sessions is required to earn 0.5 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit.
To learn more about NCFELD directly from the state, visit the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). For self-paced DCDEE-approved online learning, explore Moodle.
The $12 CEU fee is due at Session 1 — please bring cash or check. No payment should be sent to RPC in advance.
