Great Beginnings. Strong Futures.

Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this year on December 3, 2019.

The global celebration runs for 24 hours and begins at midnight local time.

We begin our campaign a week ahead of Giving Tuesday to provide information about our initiatives, our work in early education, and to promote early literacy.

Funds raised through our Giving Tuesday page are used to sustain and expand critical programs for young children in Randolph County, preparing them to enter kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed in school and life.

Our programs support and enhance early literacy, health, active lifestyles, and early learning through play and exploration for children birth-5, as well as professional development and support for early educators.

2019 Campaign

We’re pitting four of your favorite Dr. Seuss books against each other for Giving Tuesday!

Which is Randolph County’s favorite Dr. Seuss book? At the end of Giving Tuesday, we’ll know.

For our 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign, you have the opportunity to vote for The Cat in the Hat, Oh The Places You’ll Go, Green Eggs and Ham, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The winning title will be featured on our Gift of Reading holiday parade floats as well as our 2020 Gala for the Children event, “A Salute to Seuss.” We will also be purchasing, through the generosity of sponsors like Bank OZK, copies of the winning book to give to our local NC Pre-K classrooms.
