Great Beginnings. Strong Futures.

Serve On A Committee

As we endeavor to create opportunities for all children in Randolph County to be healthy and ready to learn when they begin kindergarten, we look to our community and stakeholders for expertise, talent and leadership. There are a variety of committees that steer the work of the Partnership. If there is one (or more) that interests you, please complete our Volunteer Interest form. Please be sure to indicate the committee(s) on which you’d like to serve.

Gala for the Children

The Partnership’s premier fundraising event is the Gala for the Children. There are multiple committees each year under the leadership of the Gala chairs. Committees help with the silent auction, soliciting sponsorships, set-up and more. Committees meet 3-5 times in the four months leading up to the Gala.

KidsReadyNC Team

This work-team of community leaders and stakeholders, which began convening April 2018, has been reviewing Randolph County’s birth-3 population and the services and care opportunities in place, identifying areas of need, and creating a plan to effect change.

Our team includes leaders from county, city and charter schools; community college; child care; Communities in Schools; public library system; Head Start; pediatrics; early intervention; social services; county government and the Partnership.

Community members and parents are needed for Implementation Teams. KidsReadyNC meets monthly. Implementation Teams meet as needed while they are active.

NC Pre-K

This committee works with our Early Childhood Specialist and administrative staff members to review funding partner applications, and review and provide local guidance on the implementation of NC Pre-K in Randolph County within the mandates set forth by the General Assembly. The committee also reviews professional development and support activities for NC Pre-K staff.

Night of the Stars

Each year, we recognize the educational achievements of early educators in Randolph County. This committee works with our Professional Development specialist and the Professional Development Committee to plan and execute a banquet with a speaker and lots of accolades! This committee meets as needed in the three months leading to the event.

Professional Development

This committee works directly with our Professional Development Specialist to plan programs and events to support early educators in Randolph County. Members review training opportunities and professional development needs to assist teachers in meeting their educational goals. This committee meets monthly.

Sustainability

This committee works closely with the Director of Marking and Partnership administration to plan events and engage donors and sponsors. The committee meets monthly.
