Good teachers know their students. Great teachers know themselves too.
In Session 5 of our Conscious Discipline series, we look at two skills: Directing Our Attention and Noticing. Where we put our focus matters — because what we pay attention to is what we get more of. We also look at how the way we talk to ourselves shapes how we show up for kids each day.
When teachers feel calm and aware, kids feel it. The first five years of a child’s life shape who they will become — their sense of self, their place in the world, and what they can do. You are a big part of that.
This is Session 5 of an ongoing series for early childhood educators in Randolph County, hosted by the Randolph Partnership for Children.
