classroom transitions early childhood social emotional Randolph CountyMoving from one activity to the next can take up 20 to 30 percent of a young child’s day. That is a lot of time — and it can either go smoothly or feel stressful for everyone.

In this workshop, you will look at the transitions in your daily schedule, find ways to cut down on the ones you do not need, and learn simple strategies to make the ones you keep go more smoothly.

When transitions are calm and planned, children feel safer and more ready to learn. The skills children build in the first five years — including how to handle change — stay with them for life.

This workshop is led by Cherie White, Healthy Social Behaviors Specialist, and is hosted by the Randolph Partnership for Children’s as part of their training offerings for early childhood educators in Randolph County.
