The outdoors is one of the best classrooms there is — and this session will show you how to use it.
Join us for the Fall session of our Outdoor Learning Environment series. We will explore how to use the outdoors as an art space. You will see how natural materials like leaves, sticks, and rocks can spark creativity in young children. We will use loose parts and things from nature as our art tools, and draw ideas from the season around us.
Outdoor creative time builds language skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and a love of the world children live in. When children create outside, they feel connected — to nature, to each other, and to their community.
The first five years of a child’s life shape how they see themselves and the world. Getting outside is one of the most powerful ways to help that grow.
Come dressed for the outdoors and ready to get your hands dirty!
